Blue Wave Ultrasonics has been on the leading wave of ultrasonic cleaning technology from its start in 1952 as the Bendix Corporation in Davenport, Iowa. Over the ensuing decades the extensive work of the Bendix Corporation and other successful ultrasonic cleaning companies made ultrasonics a worldwide necessity. While other companies successfully developed less expensive and less durable ultrasonic cleaners in order to reach new markets, Bendix decided to satisfy the demands of its prominent clients in the industrial environment by utilizing the most proven and reliable method to generate ultrasonic power.
In April of 1980, a group of Bendix executives purchased the ultrasonic cleaning division from Bendix and named the newly formed company Swen Sonic Corporation, refining the ultrasonic energy systems and introducing electronic control systems which greatly improved the operating efficiency of ultrasonic cleaning. In July of 1990, a group of Swen Sonic executives purchased the company and renamed it Blue Wave Ultrasonics. The new management focused on expanding into new industrial markets by doing what it had always done -- providing the best products, providing the most extensive knowledge and providing the best customer service in the industry. Today, Blue Wave remains the gold standard -- competitive in price and unparalleled in quality. Savings in labor, time, energy, maintenance costs, and downtime over the life of the cleaning equipment have justified the investment for thousands of satisfied Blue Wave customers.
